The master cylinder does have a marking above each sensor: "H" above one and "V" above the other. One small problem though: I can't find any identification of which is sensor 1! But I find the intermittent nature of the fault to be concerning - it's possible that the fault is with the physical electrical connection to the sensor, so perhaps I might clean the sensor 1 electrical connection, reset the fault and see what happens? RealOEM lists the DSC pressure sensors as part number 34521164458, which TheBMWPartStore lists for $96.12, so not hideously expensive. The most obvious solution would therefore be to replace sensor 1. Maybe it's simply intended to be a "universal code" that then points you to the other two?
How this differentiates from the other error code I don't know. A bit of a cryptic error - I'm guessing that means that the sensor has given an out of range output. Pressure sensor 1 or 2 has been "implausible".Pressure sensor 1 (of the two pressure sensors mounted on the bottom of the brake master cylinder) has been exhibiting electrical faults. To in summary the report says the following: Fortunately Google Translate does a really good job:ĪSC / DSC_aktiv (function button) 1.00 0/1Įrror currently not available, but already storedĮrror would cause the illumination of a warning lightĮrror Code: 24 5E A0 18 A1 01 09 32 28 00 04Įrror Code: 20 5E A0 07 1A 18 A1 36 08 00 04 Yes, it's in German - most of the INPA stuff is in English but random bits are in German for some reason. That works also for C6 bins even when all other maps or parameters don't match in xdefinition file for AD bins.ĮDIT yeah that z3-28i bin is for euro model z3 with left hand steering so it shouldn't have secondary air pump in use, so just what I need. You can do it by hand or use the perl script:Īnd then you can use for example realoem to check what car is that: Here is how you can decode the HEX string: To be able to decode that, change it to HEX format: The xdefinition shows the VIN but it's in strange format:
If you don't know how to check the VIN here is how it works. I have to check the VIN numbers from those.
Thanks! A lot! Hopefully there is at least one good bin file. I would need euro 2 model AD file to start with, because I don't know how to disable all the useless stuff from the US bin. I have many C6 bins but those are useless because there is no xdefinition for those.
ĭo you or anyone else have different AD files? I have found only one and according to the VIN it's from US model Z3. thanks again keep me updated on your findings. i know there is no ews delete but still some maps to work with. i was going to make a diy video if i got everything to work.
i also have 2 xdefinition files for the AD software i found online. then inpa to align the ews i guess i will just buy a second ecu just to try the flash to.
i think i have everything i need i have the cables my flasher is working i also have a Virgin file for 328i with software AD. i have not tried this yet because i almost daily drive my car. Wow dude thanks for the reply final somone answerd my question.
